Fantastic Friday: Natural History Prints

This post originally appeared in May 2014.

Let’s try a little something new today.  Instead of an info-packed essay or an in-depth resource analysis, let’s just take this Friday to look at pretty things!

In collecting resources for our Book to Art Club meeting on The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate by Jacqueline Kelly, I found myself swimming in digital collections filled with GORGEOUS historical prints of flora and fauna.  We’ve featured some of these collections before, but there are some others that definitely deserve a nod.  Each of the pictures below link out to rabbit holes of beautiful collections, and let me tell you, this is just scratching the surface.

Go forth and explore!  And tell us how YOU are inspired by these great historical pieces of art.
