Can you believe it’s mid-October already? That means there’s only a couple of weeks before the kickoff to National Novel Writing Month (a.k.a. NaNoWriMo), which challenges participants (known as “Wrimos”) to track their word counts and get to 50,000 words in a mere 30 days! Libraries are fantastic community partners for this program, through NaNoWriMo’s Come Write In community partnership project.

Library staff, is your library hosting write-ins or other programs specifically for Wrimos this year? We’d love to hear what you’re up to–post your stuff in the comments section!!

Over the past several years, the LAIP has compiled a lot of tips and tricks for Wrimos on ways to make the most of their time at the library in November. Check out all of the posts in our NaNoWriMo series. And for those of you embarking on this exciting project, good luck!! ~Laura
