Holiday Wreath – How To

As some of you may have noticed, there is a giant new laser cutter at the shop! Since my interests are less acrylic and wood and more fabric and yarn, I decided to ask Tyler to laser cut some leaves out of felt for use in a fun fall wreath.  Here is how I did it:

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

  • felt in seasonally-appropriate colors
  • foam wreath ring (14″) wrapped in yarn
  • squirrel ornanment from Walmart
  • miniature pinecones on a stick from Joann
  • giant laser cutter
  • glue gun + sticks

Step 2: Laser Cut the Felt

Step 3: Prepare the Squirrel

Step 4: Harvest the Pinecones

Step 5: Glue!

  • arrange leaves on the wreath until you’re happy with them

  • invert the wreath to maintain the structure of the leaves

  • glue the leaves to the wreath
  • generously glue the squirrel and pinecone to the base of leaves, allow to dry
  • touch up spots as needed

Step 6: Enjoy Your Wreath!
